WHY DO I NEED A PLANNER?

A planner can help you save time, money and many sleepless nights. Having a friendly, knowledgeable and experienced planner to call on will ease stress and provide you with the guidance you will need. In a nutshell, a planner will double as your wedding planner and wedding best friend.

 

WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN A WEDDING PLANNER AND A VENUE COORDINATOR?

Even if your venue comes with a coordinator, it is important to know that a venue coordinator is not the same as a wedding planner. Although both terms are often used interchangeably, their roles in your wedding are distinctively different. The coordinator handles aspects of your wedding directly linked to the venue, whiles the planner has the responsibility to plan and coordinate every single aspects of the wedding, including the venue.

 

WHAT ARE THE REQUIREMENTS FOR A LEGAL WEDDING IN JAMAICA?

To get married on the beautiful and highly sought-after island of Jamaica, the bride and groom are expected to arrive on the island at least 24-48 hours prior to the wedding. Unlike many other countries, a blood test is not required. However, you are required to provide notarized copies of the following documents, which should be presented in English:

·       Birth Certificates of both bride and groom

·       Government issued Photo ID

·       Divorce Decree (if applicable)

·       Death Certificate (if applicable)

Your wedding planner will request these documents to be sent via courier service at least 30-60 days prior to your wedding day for processing.

After your wed­ding cer­e­mony, you will receive a Minister’s Cer­tifi­cate from the officiant, then you will be sent 2 cer­ti­fied copies of the Minister’s Cer­tifi­cates around 4-6 weeks after your wedding by post.

PS. Marriages in Jamaica are recognized as legal all over the world.

 

DO YOU OFFER FREE CONSULTATION?

Absolutely! We offer a complimentary initial consultation to all new clients. We use this opportunity to gain insight into the vision you have for your event/wedding.

WHAT CAN I EXPECT FROM A CONSULTATION?

Consultations are done in person, over the telephone or video calling. Prior to your consultation, you will be asked to complete the PRE-CONSULTAION QUESTIONNAIRE which will offer some insight to your vision beforehand. During our consultation, we can talk through your plans in a little more detail and establish the areas in which you may require assistance in the planning or designing of your wedding/event. We will then prepare a tailored proposal specifically designed to suit your requirements. Whilst you review the proposal, we will be available to answer any questions you may have.

 

WHERE ARE YOU LOCATED, AND WHAT AREAS DO YOU COVER?

We are located in Falmouth and predominantly work in Falmouth, Montego Bay, St Ann and Westmoreland. However, we do cover the entire island and are happy to travel further afield to satisfy the requirements of all our clients. We also cover weddings and events abroad.

 

 

DO YOU OFFER PAYMENT PLANS?

Absolutely! We have put together a plan that will help you spread the cost. We request a 50% deposit to secure the date. The balance can either be paid in equal parts monthly or the final balance (50%) due 1 months before the big day.

*Please note that the payment arrangements above do not apply to venue booking. Except for the all-inclusive packages.

**Full payments are required for events booked within the month.

 

WHATS THE CANCELLATION POLICY?

Deposits and payments are non-refundable and non-transferable if cancelled 24 hours after returning signed agreement.

Clients will be charged for any services rendered up until the day we are notified of the cancellation in writing. Details of the cancellation will be outlined in the proposed agreement.

 

DO YOU WORK WITH OTHER VENDORS ON OUR BEHALF?

Sure! Whilst we have a recommended list of vendors, we believe in teamwork and is happy to coordinate with any professional vendor of your choice to ensure that every aspect of your dream day come together seamlessly.
